Difficile de vous conter ce 30 mars particulièrement émotionnel !
On ne ferait pas mieux comme épitaphe ...
Mes garçons entourés de toute la petite famille m'ont appelée en simultané pour entonner en choeur la classique chanson des anniversaires.
Singapour et Tokyo au même moment !
Je devais attendre ce moment pour ouvrir un colis que j'avais reçu quelques jours plus tôt.​​
Et quelle surprise !!
Thierry a récupéré toutes les archives de ce site pour les immortaliser dans un recueil.
C'est un délice de se replonger dans les petites histoire de l'An 12.
Le travail par contre est colossal et tous les membres de la famille s'y collent à tour de rôle.
Il semblerait que mes correcteurs n'osaient pas corriger mes fautes à cette époque, selon les dires de Thierry, les textes en sont criblés.
De plus les premières années, je me forçais à faire une mise à jour quotidienne !
Si vous passez à l'An 12, vous pourrez consulter à votre aise l'année qui vous concerne !
Chers amis, vos souhaits m'ont permis de changer de dizaine avec "presque" du plaisir ...
Les deux photos suivantes méritent aussi d'être éditées.
La verve du poète m'émeut toujours autant mais elle ne m'étonne pas. Par contre, je reste époustouflée par la faconde de ma belle-soeur.
Je ne suis pas sûre que vous puissiez lire correctement le texte inclu dans les photos.
Si c'est illisible, je les intégrerai dans le texte.
Aujourd'hui, ce serait l'anniversaire de ma mère.

This is my second visit to this delightful bed and breakfast.
Viviane is a superb hostess who provides all guests with a warm welcome and a wonderful experience throughout the duration of their stay.
The rooms are spotlessly clean and the breakfast offerings are plentiful. Many of the jellies, jams and other items offered, she prepares using fruit and vegetables from her own garden and fruit trees.
This B&B has a sunroom, a beautiful sitting area in the garden for the enjoyment of the guests.
Being a lifelong resident of the area, Viviane can offer ideas and advice about all the cities, towns and sites throughout this area of France.
Charency-Vezin is a great location to explore WWI and WWII sites around Verdun France, Luxembourg and Belgium.
Having stayed in Bed and Breakfasts throughout North America, England and Europe I can tell you with certainty you will not be disappointing if you choose to stay at L’ An XII Bed Breakfast located in Charency-Vezin France.

THE ROOMS
It is written on the pediment of the front door, this house was built in Year XII of the French Republic, in 1804.
It has been inhabited by the Courbariaux family since its construction until our acquisition.
A huge barn juxtaposed the house followed by an equally large garden. The portal, a little narrow, was held by two beautiful rounded pillars.
It offers us a bird's eye view of the main street
and in the distance on the limestone lawn.
This house was requisitioned in 1940
to serve as a youth camp.

Visit of the village
The village of Charency-Vezin is made up of two entities located on either side of the river. Charency warms up at the foot of the hill, Vezin snuggles up in the valley.
The limestone lawn is the jewel of Charency.
There are about ten kinds of wild orchids growing there and the point of view, at the top, on the valley of Chiers is of any beauty.

The two houses are joined at the rear by a veranda.
